East Cork Camino - Stage 3 - Saturday 13th September
The 3rd and final stage of the East Cork Camino Jubilee Year Pilgrimage of Hope from Killeagh to Youghal (11 kms approx.) takes place via the Greenway on Saturday September 13th, commencing with a Pilgrims Prayer Service at 8am in St. John the Baptist Church, Killeagh. Pilgrim Passports and Booklets will be available at the commencement of this stage and are also available from the Midleton Parish Office free of charge (a donation to cover costs is appreciated).
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will commence at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Upper Strand Youghal from 10.45am with Confessions available from 11.00am. A Special Mass to Conclude the Pilgrimage of Hope 2025 commences at 11.30am. Prayers of intercession to Our Lady of Graces will be included.
East Cork CaminoParishoners from the 10 Parishes of the Midleton Deanery Area are especially invited and encouraged to participate in this final stage of the East Cork Camino Jubilee Year Pilgrimage of Hope in whatever way they can, either by walking in person or in spirit through their prayerful support in both Killeagh & Youghal.
Prayer Petition boxes have been placed in churches throughout East Cork. All petitions will be prayed for at both church locations on the final day of the Pilgrimage.
Everyone is welcome to take part in this final stage of the Camino.
After the Pilgrim Mass has concluded, a Walking Tour of Youghal incorporating 10 locations of historical religious significance within the town will set off from the Greenway car park opposite the Strand Church at 12.45pm for those who wish to avail of the opportunity. The tour concludes at 2pm at the ruin of Our Lady of Graces Church in North Abbey cemetery.
Please note that the walking tour of the town is optional and does not form part of the Jubilee Year Pilgrimage.
