A Mass of Hope to Be Held at Church of Christ the King in Shanballymore, Co. Cork.

DONERAILE, NORTH CORK – The Parish of Doneraile is proud to announce the upcoming “Mass of Hope” on May 24th at 7:30pm. The Mass will take place at the Church of Christ the King in Shanballymore and is dedicated to all those who have been affected by Mental Illness.

The Mass of Hope aims to provide solace and support to individuals who have personally faced the challenges of mental illness, as well as their families and friends. It is an opportunity for the community to come together in solidarity and offer prayers for healing, strength, and hope.

The Most Reverend Dr William Crean, Bishop of Cloyne, will preside over the Mass as the main celebrant. His presence and guidance will bring comfort and inspiration to all attendees. Bishop Crean’s commitment to addressing mental health issues within the community is commendable, and his participation in this event highlights the importance of destigmatising mental illness.

The Parish of Doneraile cordially invites all parishioners and members of the wider North Cork Community to attend the Mass of Hope. It is a chance to demonstrate unity and support for those who have faced or continue to face mental health challenges. Together, we can create an environment of understanding, compassion, and acceptance.

Following the Mass, refreshments will be served at the Shanballymore Community Centre. This gathering will provide an opportunity for attendees to connect, share experiences, and strengthen the bonds of community.
