In preparation for the World Meeting of Families in August, Cloyne Diosese Chaplaincy to the Traveller Community led a Pilgrimage to Croagh Patrick on Wednesday 4th July 2018 with men from the North Cork Traveller community.
Accompanying the Traveller men were Fr. Tom Naughton, Cloyne Diocese Chaplain to the Traveller Community, Jason Sheehan from Travellers of North Cork (TNC) and Cllr. Ian Doyle, whose stamina impressed all present, as we braved the climb in a blistering 28 degree sun.
Prayers at different points along the climb were offered asking God to protect, heal and bless all families and leave on this holy mountain the various problems, troubles and needs that weigh on the pilgrims’ minds and hearts but on so many families at this time.
