The Cloyne Diocesan Safeguarding Children Committee is seeking new members.

The Committee seeks new members to the Committee. The members are voluntary, however they do receive travelling expenses and costs for training is borne by the Diocese.

New Members required to have a background and or interest in Safeguarding Children or Safeguarding Vulnerable Persons:

• seeking person with IT and secretarial skills:
• seeking persons who have a background, experience in social services:
• seeking person who works or worked with vulnerable adults:
• seeking person who worked with children / young people.

Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Persons:

The Diocese has a Safeguarding Committee made up of lay people and priests to ensure that the Standards of the Safeguarding Children Policy are met and applied in Parishes in the Diocese. The Procedures are there to ensure that the Policy is followed, they can be found on the website www.safeguardinchildrencloyne.ie . This website contains the Procedures and forms that need to be completed in working with children.

The Policy Document for Vulnerable Persons is available on www.cloynediocese.ie and the forms needed are those in the Safeguarding Children forms.
