Cloyne Diocesan Youth and Community Services (CDYS)

As a Result of the announcement of the childcare, schools and colleges closure from 6pm March 12th all direct contact youth and community work (groups, clubs, one to one supports, training courses) work across CDYS will cease.

While all our premises are effectively closed to the public we are still available for support and can be easily contacted.

Youth and Community Workers will be working remotely and will be available by phone or e-mail during normal working hours. Youth and Community workers will also be using technology and digital platforms to stay in touch with young people and families and they will be in contact in the coming days in all locations and areas.

The CDYS counselling, family supports, Youth Ministry, specialist services and community based drug and alcohol services will also be in contact and will offer a variety of options for supports and continued engagements with current service users.

If a young person or family member becomes ill with Covid 19 symptoms (or have been exposed to a person with the virus) and have attended our services or activities in the last 3 weeks please let their contact worker (youth worker, community worker, counselor, tutor, CCA support worker or CBDI worker) know as soon as possible or ring  09064 77075.

We know that the next couple of weeks will be tough but hopefully these measures will ensure that the least number of people are exposed or contract Covid 19.

The most up to date information will continue to be available on the HSE website.

In times of adversity we come together and realise the strength and importance of our families and communities. As ever CDYS are available for support so please contact us.

Stay well, look after each other and keep each other safe.
