Cloyne Diocesan (Clerical) Changes, July 2017

Most Rev. William Crean has accepted the resignation from office of the following priests in the Diocese of Cloyne to come into effect on July 1st.

  • Ven. Archdeacon Gerard Casey, P.P., V.F., Mallow
  • V. Rev. Pádraig Keogh, P.P., Milford
  • V. Rev. David O’Riordan, P.P., Ballymacoda and Ladysbridge

Bishop Crean has made the following appointments in the Diocese of Cloyne with effect from July 1st:

V. Rev. Canon Anthony O’Brien, P.P., Carrigtwohill to be P.P. Mallow and Vicar Forane of Buttevant Deanery.

Rev. John Keane, returning from ministry with Céilí Catholic Community to be C.C. Macroom and Co-Ordinator of the Cloyne Diocesan Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration

V. Rev. William Bermingham, returning from Sabbatical Study to be P.P. Carrigtwohill

Rev. Peter O’Farrell, C.C. Cobh to be P.P. Milford

Rev. Chris Donlon, C.C. Glantane to be P.P. Ballymacoda and Ladysbridge

Rev. Brian Boyle, C.C. Kanturk to be C.C. Fermoy

Rev. Tom McDermott, C.C. Inniscarra to be C.C. Cobh

Rev. Brendan Mallon, C.C. Coachford and Chaplain Coachford Community College to be C.C. Youghal and Chaplain Pobalscoil na Tríonóide

Rev. P.J. O’Driscoll, C.C. Fermoy to ministry with the Army Chaplaincy

Rev. Eamonn McCarthy, C.C. Macroom to be Priest Director of Radio Maria (Ireland), Dublin

Rev. Damien Lynch, C.C. Youghal and Chaplain to Pobalscoil na Tríonóide to be C.C. Inniscarra

Newly ordained Rev. John Magner to be C.C. Kanturk.
